Check out the beaches & Old Lighthouse:

The best beaches are past the lighthouse on the north-eastern side of Inhaca, so either catch a ride or take a hike.
It's about an hour's walk.
The 31-metre lighthouse is the southernmost of Mozambique's major lighthouses, and one of the oldest, dating back to 1894.
It was upgraded in the 1920s and has long guided ships to the port.

Take a boat trip to Portuguese Island:

This peach of an island is home to hidden lagoons, mangrove swamps and delicious sea creatures.
You can do diving, snorkelling and kayaking.

Get behind those binoculars:

There are 300 recorded birds species on Inhaca, which is a remarkable, considering this island measures a mere 70 kmq.
Look out for mangrove kingfishers, crab plovers, great-winged petrels and assorted frigates.
You can also head to the Santa Maria Wall in search of pelicans and flamingos.

Explore underwater:

The diving is legendary around Inhaca and Portuguese Islands.
It's less than an hour's boat trip to the dive sites  at the Santa Maria Wall off Ponta Torres.

Visit The Marine Reserve & Museum:

A small museum attached to the Marine Research Station has a series of exhibits of the area's fauna and flora; there's also an exhibit on the history of the coral reefs.
